About the Role:
At Rock Medical, our mission of Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better extends beyond just the operating room. We have a team of highly skilled internal specialists dedicated to assist in the daily logistics, movement, and organization of all Arthrex surgical assets, instruments, and implants. We are looking to expand that team to add an additional person focused on our extensive Distal Extremities and Trauma product line. The Operations Specialist will work with six other internal specialists and a network of 60+ sales representatives to manage $50 million worth of inventory across more than 150 accounts in Northern Ohio.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the daily logistics of Distal Extremities and Trauma-related assets (i.e. surgical trays, implants, instruments).
  • Become an expert on the assets and be able to inspect them upon return to identify needs; Place orders, replenish, and restock trays and implants when required.
  • Build strong relationships and provide exceptional service to all team members and sales representatives.
  • Assemble and prepare new surgical trays to ensure readiness for cases.
  • Participate in rotating on-call schedule to provide continuous service to field sales representatives on the weekends and holidays; Drive assets and other requested product to representatives at accounts/remote storage facilities as needed.
  • Complete other duties and projects as assigned by the Director of Operations.

Many of the systems and processes used in this position are specific to Rock Medical and Arthrex. The person in this role will undergo extensive training (self-guided and manager-led) to become an expert on all the necessary tools. To be successful, this person must be a quick learner, strong multitasker, and have impeccable attention to detail. Additionally, he/she must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and strong relationship-building skills.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is acceptable. Experience in the medical field and/or medical device industry is preferred.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to operate a vehicle safely.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Suite, especially Microsoft Excel.

This is a salaried, full-time role (Approximately 40 hours/week) that will sit at our office in Hudson, Ohio. This person will periodically need to be available on the weekends and holidays to provide continuous support to our sales representative. The Operations Specialist will report to our Director of Operations.

Northeast Ohio: Orthopedic Sales Representatives

About the Role:
Rock Medical is looking to add driven, energetic team players who are committed to being the most knowledgeable resources and providing the best customer service in the Orthopedic Industry. We are specifically looking to add strong sales-minded and results-oriented representatives to our Akron/Canton teams.

Our Orthopedic Sales Representatives are primarily responsible for:

  • Providing unparalleled daily support to our surgeon-customers and their staff in the operating room across all product categories, which includes but is not limited to the following: Sports Medicine, Shoulder, Knee, Extremities, Trauma, and Orthobiologics.
  • Sustaining expert knowledge of our extensive, market-leading product portfolio and current industry trends. This position requires a high degree of intensity and commitment to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Demonstrating the proper use and application of Arthrex products and surgical techniques to surgeons and support staff.
  • Establishing, building, and maintaining strong relationships with all of our customers and teammates.
  • Developing and delivering sales strategies to meet the defined objectives and goals for a specific territory. (This position will specifically work on our Akron/Canton area teams.)
  • Assisting and participating in HCP-focused lab and training events.
  • Supporting compliance and acting with integrity at all times.
  • Being an extraordinary teammate: accountable, humble, trustworthy, and driven.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 2+ years of sales experience in orthopedic/medical device sales or competitive B2B sales required. Demonstrated sales success in previous roles is a requirement.
  • Bachelor's degree required. 
  • Must be comfortable in surgery/operating room environments as our representatives spend a significant amount of time in the OR. 
  • Must be able to satisfy the requirements necessary to obtain vendor credentials for the assigned sales area.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.

Few of us enter this role with all the skills necessary to earn the trust of highly-trained surgeons. Our training process consists of a comprehensive medical education and business development program covering products, surgical techniques, sales strategies, and service skills. During the first year of training, our Orthopedic Sales Representatives will observe over 500 surgical procedures and have the opportunity to make an impact on team sales quotas. At Rock Medical, we take individual development very seriously. Those who have a strong desire to learn will be provided with plenty of opportunities to grow and develop. Becoming an expert is a process that takes time, discipline, and dedication over many years.
